This study examines the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS), conceptualized as an institutionalized welfare-based form of support, and the expectancy, instrumentality, and valence cognitions of healthcare professionals in Morocco’s Rabat–Salé–Kénitra region. A cross-sectional questionnaire yielded an analytical sample of 100 complete observations, analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). POS was positively associated with expectancy (β = 0.309), instrumentality (β = 0.360), and valence (β = 0.330), with bootstrapping indicating p < 0.001 for all three paths. Explanatory power was modest (R² = 0.096, 0.130, and 0.109, respectively). Internal consistency was acceptable for all constructs, although the AVE of POS (0.430) remained below the preferred 0.50 threshold. The findings identify POS as a relevant but partial institutional correlate of motivational cognitions and should be interpreted cautiously given the cross-sectional design and measurement limitations
